new board member!

We are excited to announce EOA Partner and Principal Tracey Ford as the Nashville Civic Design Center's newest board member. The Civic Design Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with residents, organizations, and municipalities to help improve the quality of life of all people in communities. The Nashville Civic Design Center started after seeing sweeping “urban renewal” rip through the fabric of neighborhoods in the 1960s, community members were eager to see a Plan that aligned with what they wanted for their city. The group began hosting Urban Design Forums as a platform for productive debate, but when Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell encouraged the group to formalize, the Civic Design Center was born. By acting as a liaison and a cross-sector connector, the Civic Design Center was crucially poised to help Nashville residents establish the goals and strategies for revitalization, much like other design centers across the country.
