Merit Award, AIA Tennessee

We are proud to announce that Christ Church Cathedral received an Award of Merit at the AIA Tennessee Design Awards. Per jury comments, "This project carefully lifts up and frames the historic church through a new architectural intervention that is both deferential and contemporary. The jury admired the way the new “veil” creates transparency, connection, and a meaningful dialogue between old and new. The interior details are simple, clean, and refined, allowing the historic fabric to remain central while giving the place new life and relevance. It is a thoughtful and respectful addition to an important civic and sacred space.
