ULI Excellence in Development Award
EOA's Dismas house project has won a 2023 Urban Land Institute Excellence in Development Award and the Inaugural Rose Faeges-Easton Impact Award! The Rose Faeges-Easton Community Impact Award is named for founding Executive Director of ULI Nashville, Rose Faeges-Easton, and recognizes a project that shows a singular ability to link development and design to community need and community impact.
The Excellence in Development Awards gathered over 650 real estate and land use industry leaders last night to celebrate outstanding development projects, the transformational impact of these projects on Middle Tennessee, and the real estate and land use professionals that create the award-winning projects. The non-profit organization, Dismas House, came to EOA in search of a vision for a new home for their program which serves men transitioning from incarceration. Residents who are accepted into Dismas are provided with temporary housing, food, clothing and clinical support, but more importantly they are introduced to a caring community of volunteers, staff, program partners and other residents who offer positive support and accountability. The design of the new Dismas House reinforces the enriching, positive environment.
