In 2002, our team was selected by BMW of North America to be their design partner for the development of new and/ or renovation designs of over 200 individual BMW centers nationwide. Unlike many corporate identity strategies, BMW specifically does not seek a prototype building design. Instead, BMW selected us to provide a sophisticated design approach that combines corporate identity branding and facility design requirements with the unique conditions and context of each facility.
Our automotive retail facilities projects have afforded us a unique perspective through our development of corporate standards for design, architectural materials, interior finishes, and lighting systems, as well as an understanding of the operations and maintenance of these retail facilities. Through this experience, we also bring value to the team in looking at first and life-cycle costs – weighing benefits versus costs.
